Thyme
Thyme is a traditional herb of Greek nature. The word “Thymus” is derived from the ancient Greek word for “anger” which means courage. It is a perennial, evergreen shrub 20-30 cm tall. with woody branches. Dry and fresh thyme is widely used in cooking. Thymol, which is the main component of thyme essential oil, is used in medicine as a mild antiseptic. References to the medicinal use of thyme date back to ancient times, Hippocrates recommended it for the removal of inflammation. It is highly antioxidant, has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and tonic properties.
